Our mate Royal T, producer extraordinaire, has a new E.P. out on the 29th November, and we thought we should tell you all about it! The ‘Damn It! E.P.’ is the debut release from fledgling label Boogaloo City, one of the many Grime labels to have started up in recent months.
The E.P. features ‘Damn It’, ‘Side Effect’ plus remixes from Asa & Khan and Mensah & Superisk. The title track is a bombastic delight, complete with deadening synths, squeals and vox sampled from Tempz. I would like to say ‘Side Effect’ is a smoother affair, and on first listen it is. However, first appearances are deceiving and soon it transforms into an altogether more agitated beast.
